Our Team
Minisciples isn’t run by a big studio. It’s powered by a family that loves art, stories, and most of all, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Every character, sketch, and animation comes from that love. While they dream of growing the Minisciples into a full-time creative studio, their deepest hope is simple: to glorify Jesus Christ and help others come to know and love Him.
Mau Romero
Founder • Animator
Mau Romero is the founder of Minisciples, husband to Montse for over 22 years, and dad to six daughters. The idea for Minisciples began almost twenty years ago with a sketch of a cute Jesus plushie when the family was expecting their first child — and that little dream never went away.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Video Game Development from Full Sail University and a Master’s in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. After years in the creative industry, he left secular work to serve in Catholic ministry, where he now works as a Director of Development for a religious community.
Today, Mauricio brings Minisciples to life through animation and storytelling, blending creativity and faith to share joyful little stories that point hearts back to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Fatima
Illustrator • Character Designer
Fatima Romero is the illustrator and character designer behind Minisciples. A recent high school graduate who was homeschooled since first grade, she now works full time creating the world of tiny disciples.
She loves illustration, Hello Kitty, and anime, and even more, she loves Jesus. Since launching the Minisciples Instagram account, Fatima has created at least one illustration every day without fail, sharing joy and faith with thousands of followers.
For Fatima, every drawing is a small way to live out Jesus’ call to “make disciples of all nations.” Her hope is that each character brings a smile and helps someone grow closer to Him.
